I agree with John... there are definitely other options out in the vacation rental marketing world other than HomeAway. Owner's should definitely utilize the free and or affordable vacation rental marketing sites like KeyVacationRentals.com and VRWD.com, but at the same time build their own website...

I want to see the IP address of the inquiry. And the inquiry must include email address, phone number, and number of adults and children...

We use vonage.com. I can't say that I have been completely happy with them, especially their customer service, but they do have an affordable, quality product.

HomeAway is definitely not just going to lay down and give up without a fight. These guys are in everything 'vacation rental' related on the web. Unfortunately for us... they know what they are doing and will most likely continue their long lasting win streak.
