George Hans could have cared less about our honeymoon plans - he was a really unprofessional jerk on the phone too (seemingly unworried about his reputation). Below is a series of emails between George Hans (http://www.vrbo.com/3913) and my fiance and I. He received an offer from a long term renter for his vacation property, and then lied and told us that he hadn't received our deposit. We were very disappointed that he would double book his place and give us the boot like that. Read below (these emails are completely unaltered and tell the story exactly as it happened):

This couple did not send the deposit on time, it was over 2 weeks! In the meantime i rented to a long term tenant. When they called with a question, i informed them i had rented it out...the young man started screaming and telling me 'he was coming anyway and i best make room'...kept screaming and telling me he was going to ruin my reputation...heck, i'm 62, how bad is this horrible crime i committed??
Well, i did loose it a little, he was acting like a spoiled child. I hung up on him and called my friends 7/10 of a mile east of us, on the 'dedicated beach' and she would honor my rate, as hers was slightly higher. I than called the 'young man' up and told him I'd found that our friends had availability and you guessed it, he started screaming again!
Bottom line is they stayed at my friends and had a great time.
Moral to the story, 'you can please some of the people some of the time...and thats it!'
He's the second cry baby we've had in 10 years, Not Bad!
