Beware got a new one yesterday, did not save sorry, was laughing too hard thinking how stupid do they think we are. The scheme is the same, want to pay in advance with an Cashiers Check from overseas that will never clear, and will need an amount of the payment be forwarded in advance to the actual stay to a third party for transporation etc...
This one looks pretty good, the first thing I have learned over the years replying to real clients is that the first email is usually rather general and has several basic questions. VERY little personal detail is shared or circumstances. ALSO MONEY is never an problem regarding the costs associated with the stay. Never try to haggle or ask for promotions, which is odd.
This email is from a person claiming to be unable to attend their friends wedding in the US, because they are serving in the military overseas (Oh how can you deny a TROOPER?) And he wants to pay for thier Honeymoon stay, and would like to arrange EVERYTHING before they arrive in country. In my case Costa Rica.
After the first reply regarding pricing etc...Is when he sends to WAY too long email regarding how he wants to pay and how the advance money is to be used etc...
So heads up.
Rick
