As a corporate traveler, a completely agree - I love using Las Vegas vacation rentals for business trips. Another great option to families, or couples, who are only staying a week is renting a timeshare. Lots of timeshare owners are renting out their unused weeks for bargain prices. - You usually stay in a condo, rather than a vacation home, but you get full kitchens, washer/dryer, etc. Also, there are no room taxes to pay when you rent a timeshare since you stay as an "owner-guest."
