Our family rented this beautiful vacation home in Livemore, California a few months ago.  We had a lovely stay, and left the home in perfect condition following all check-out details on the last page of the contract that we had previously signed.  The owner, CHERYL. R. GREEN never bothered to return a single  phonecall prior to our check-out and was not available for a final walk-through with us.  We departed and left the keys on the kitchen counter.   It took over a month of numerous emails and threats to get her to return some of our security deposit, but she withheld a large percentage without providing any proof or receipts accounting for the extra charges that she claimed us for. She does not know how to run a business, and I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS VACATION RENTAL TO FAMILY OR FRIENDS!

She also has other vacation properties.  Be warned!

We are a small family who also rented the "Gated Estate" property in Livermore, CA and also did not get our security deposit returned by Cheryl Green (the owner of this property).  Cheryl Green continues to take deposits from unsuspecting guests and will not return the money to them after they depart.  Unfortunately, those of us who have already been swindled by Ms Green have little recourse to recover the money.  We are asking however that all persons who have had similar experiences write to the hosting company, homeaway or VBRO, about our experiences and also write a derogatory review stating the issues we have experienced. Perhaps this action can protect future victims. On a personal note, did she tried to charge you for broken antique table?  You should know that the table she charged you for was not even her table and it was broken before your arrival. This is the type of issue we have seen with each guest she did not return money to.
